Android Flash Force is Live

We are proud to announce the Android version of Flash Force is available on the Google Play Store (and has already gone through seven stealthy updates). Android users are benefiting from months of iOS users guinea pigging Flash Force (those suckers!). In all seriousness, however, the Android version includes all the great features iPhone users have come to know and enjoy: Over 700 team and event flashes Flash Force’s Heartbeat that syncs any number of devices The ability to switch between Home, Away, and Alternate outfits for many teams Free Flashes including the US Armed Forces The ability to quickly

Over the Mountain and Through the Weeds

People used to take me aside, when I was young, and tell me it was better to do one thing, and do it well. That seems so out of touch with my generation (millennial) and this great, big, beautiful internet world. These devices…this technology…they’ve opened our eyes. Computers, smart phones, apps, programs…they bring us new information and show us new worlds. I wasn’t always a blog writer for Flash Force, and I hope, in a time, that I am again something else. It is great, for a moment, to do one thing, and do it well – but now there

Android Feature Preview

We’re working hard on the Android version of Flash Force and expect public release in just a few weeks. I wanted to take this opportunity and tour the Android app. Functionality is intended to duplicate that of the iOS version. Both applications will be updated to mirror each other in the future. We do not have plans to test or preview features on one version over the other. The Android home screen is composed of familiar Flash Force elements. Users can select Browse to select from over 700 available Flashes at launch. Over 1,000 Flashes are anticipated by year end

Marching into March

Every time I read something that starts with “there are two types of people”…I cringe, and then realize I really don’t have any creative openers. You either watched the Super Bowl early last month, or I will pretend you watched the Super Bowl. I’ve been in both categories and the vast white expanse of a starting blog post reminds me of someone’s forehead. I enjoyed the game, but, and here goes the unqualified sports pundit in me, I didn’t think it was great. I am impressed by Manning’s career, achievements, and marketing abilities (who isn’t?) but the “ultimate defense” approach

The Droids We’re Looking For

We’re guilty as charged…OR, THEY ARE. That’s right development team. I’m looking at you. I’m just the blog guy, chained up in the basement, watching my last few Chargers games (I wouldn’t drive to LA if I was dying of thirst and they had the last case of water). No, but seriously, this is 2016. Let’s all take responsibility. Readers, if you want to take a little, just to…you know…lighten the load…that would be even better. We don’t have an Android version of Flash Force…yet. Currently the App is only available through the iTunes App Store. This is all by

Our Hearts and Yours

We want Flash Force to be the ultimate tool at sporting and social events (we say “want” but of course we already believe and really want you to agree). Flash Force should have as few barriers to great social interaction as possible. Enter…The Heartbeat. The Heartbeat is our special term for the engine that ties flashes together. We’re going to pretend that the workings behind the Heartbeat are some forged-in-darkness secret, and that much like Heinz 57, or Coca Cola, no one of us knows the complete recipe! All I can say, being just a friendly blogger, is the Heartbeat
