People used to take me aside, when I was young, and tell me it was better to do one thing, and do it well.
That seems so out of touch with my generation (millennial) and this great, big, beautiful internet world. These devices…this technology…they’ve opened our eyes. Computers, smart phones, apps, programs…they bring us new information and show us new worlds.
I wasn’t always a blog writer for Flash Force, and I hope, in a time, that I am again something else. It is great, for a moment, to do one thing, and do it well – but now there are so many things to do. There is a growing desire, that comes with this great capacity of exposure, that motivates me to try many fields of study, many careers, and similarly experience many avenues of life and their accompanying people.
So it is with Flash Force. It would be easy, comparatively, to create an App just for professional sports. The image is beautiful and, no doubt one of the most frequent to fill our minds, of a towering mountain of phones – filling entire sides of a stadium, cheering and flashing for professional teams.
This is not what we decided to do.
Flash Force, just like the modern worker and student, must be multi-talented…multi-capable. We want to be part of a powerful grass roots effort – phones sprouting, here and there, at concerts and high school football games, all across the country – growing like weeds through cracks in a pavement of colorless fans.
Flash Force will be just as capable for small scale sports – high school, college, league and team play – as it will for professional teams. We want it to do one thing and do it well: help you cheer for your favorite cause, whether it be big or small.
